Southern Exposure Baja Adventurer Trip

Day 1

We start our adventure in San Diego, California where we say 'Hola' and load-up. After meeting and checking the supplies it's on the road

Baja sun

across the border to sunny Baja California Mexico! We'll venture through wine country or hug the Pacific Coast during the morning and then cross across the desert through spectacular fields of huge Cardon cactus and rock gardens. The evening finds us on our first secluded beach on the Pacific side of Baja California basking by a beach campfire.

Day 2

We'll pull into the oasis town of San Ignacio that is surrounded by the majestic Viscaino desert and thousands of date palms. From here see the town, explore the Jesuit mission or take a refreshing swim in the lagoon among the palm trees.

Day 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8

Next stop- beaches, beaches and more beaches. After visiting the french town of Santa Rosalia and then moving onto the oasis village of Mulege we'll explore the coast of the wonderful Sea of Cortez. Some of the most beautiful beaches are found in this area on Bahia de Conception located on the eastern side of Baja California. Here we settle into our sheltered cove campsite by the beach and soak in the rays of the awesome Baja sun and enjoy the sand for miles. During this trek you'll get to experience the cool breezes of the beaches on the Pacific Ocean and relax in the warm sun of the beaches on the Sea of Cortez! What's your favorite?

Then it's really off the beaten path where we greet some of the many famous dirt roads of Baja. No tourists here. This is full immersion. The area is like stepping back in time as you can see what life was like in Baja California before the main road was completed just 35 years ago!

Day 8/9

Today it's vayamos los amigos! Destination - Catavina. Here we'll get to know the cactus of Baja and visit the native cave paintings in the area if time permits while exploring the various arroyos and rock gardens.
